This activity is triggered when the Capacity Manager receives request to support incidents, events, problem or change analysis with respect to technology capacity. The Capacity Manager must analyze the requests and provide recommendations appropriately. |

Description
The Capacity Manager endeavors to ensure that all applicable services and components match the evolving agreed demands of
business in the most cost-effective and timely manner. In case of any issues due to technology capacity, the Capacity
Manager should provide support to resolve the issue. In case of an event, incident or problem pertaining to technology
capacity, the Capacity Manager should collaborate with the respective processes, investigate and provide solutions in order
to resolve as quickly as possible. In scenarios where a new service is introduced or there are modifications to an existing
service, the Capacity Manager may need to carry out analysis with respect to technology capacity and provide
recommendations for changes in the architecture or design (if needed), along with impact analysis stating the technology
capacity risks associated with the change. In some cases, the Capacity Manager may also be responsible to approve or reject
changes. |
